Boro Rangers Complete Historic JPL Warriors Treble

Boro Rangers U14s have cemented their place in Junior Premier League history by completing a remarkable Pro:Direct JPL Warriors treble in a season that will live long in the memory.

After lifting the JPL National Premier Conference North (NPC) league title, the squad went on to win the JPL National Cup at Sixways Stadium in Worcester, before sealing their place as JPL National Champions at Warwick University – going unbeaten, without conceding a goal, across both national events.

A Team Built on Togetherness

This is a team which has been together from the age of six, and there is a sense of community, togetherness, and local pride with all players living within 16 miles of the club’s home ground. Their shared roots and long-standing team ethic have been the cornerstone of their incredible success, according to head coach, Lee Scott.

“To achieve this with a group I’ve known since they were six years old makes it even more special,” he said. “I’ve watched them grow into remarkable young people with drive, humility, and ambition. The joy shared between players, coaches, families, and siblings at Sixways Stadium will live with us forever.”

Coach Lee also took time to pay tribute to his players’ families for creating such a positive culture around the team, which he said was a vital part of their success:

“The commitment from parents, grandparents, siblings — it’s unmatched. Our ‘extra 10 percent’ came from that dynamic. Everyone played a role in this journey.”

A final word of thanks was reserved for assistant manager Charlie Rowe, who Coach Lee described as “a fantastic addition who is universally respected by both players and staff.”

A Season Defined by Dominance

Across all competitions, Boro Rangers played 30 matches, won 27, drew 1, and lost just 2. The team scored 135 goals and conceded only 19 in a campaign that also saw them lift a third consecutive North Riding County Cup to round off a truly remarkable quadruple.

Isabella Donnelly led the goalscoring charts with a fantastic return of 33 goals and played a vital role in securing the title.

But while attacking stats are eye-catching, the team’s defensive foundation laid the base of their dominance. Rangers conceded just 19 goals in 30 games — a record built around the calm presence of goalkeeper Poppy Dunn, who kept numerous clean sheets, and a defence marshalled by vice-captain Olivia Swales.

Coach Lee praised the team’s mentality

“When it mattered, we saw out big games through sheer defensive capabilities. The entire backline deserves credit — they gave us the platform to succeed.”
