The JPL Midlands Trials have already delivered an incredible year of football – and the journey isn’t over yet. With applications still open, there's still time for ambitious players to get involved and experience the highest level of grassroots representative football in the country.

A year to Remember

Our journey started at Walsall FC and the prestigious Aston Villa FC Academy, where players showcased their talents in top-class environments.

Kicking off with our first residential camp at the iconic Lilleshall National Sports Centre, players from U9 to U16 age groups trained and competed at a venue steeped in history. Once the training base of the England team before their famous 1966 World Cup victory, Lilleshall now supports elite development across Olympic sports and is the training home of Shrewsbury Town FC.

High-Profile Fixtures

Our squads faced an impressive line-up of professional opposition, including:

These matches gave players a true taste of the next level, challenging themselves against EFL and Premier League academy sides.

Tournament Action

As part of our yearly schedule, we competed in the Blues150 Cup, a nationwide celebration tournament that brought together top youth teams from across the UK, providing an unmatched competitive experience.

We also took part in the Midlands 3v3 Tournament hosted by Walsall FC, featuring rapid, high-intensity games against the likes of Nottingham Forest, Luton Town, Stevenage, Walsall, and Port Vale where the team sharpened their technical skills and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

A Fitting Finale

Our campaign concluded in style as the JPL Midlands U15s lifted the trophy at the National Representative Team Showcase, capping off an unforgettable experience for all involved.
