Leeds United Crowned U16 Champions at JPL Warriors Trophy Finals
Leeds United U16s capped off their season in style with a composed and confident performance at Sixways Stadium, securing a 2–0 win over Sherborne Town Ladies to lift the Pro:Direct JPL Warriors U16 Trophy.
With a balanced blend of attacking energy and defensive resilience, Leeds showcased the quality, unity, and discipline that have defined their season, delivering a performance worthy of the national stage.
Match Winner and Player of the Match: Darcey Summerfield
Darcey Summerfield was the star of the show, scoring both goals in a clinical display and earning Player of the Match honours. A constant attacking threat from start to finish, Darcey’s composure in front of goal and dynamic movement proved decisive on the day.
Her brace reflected not only her individual talent but the sharp link-up play and support provided by her teammates throughout the match.

“It was a fantastic day and a real team performance. I was delighted for our girls to win the trophy – the stadium was a great setting for them to play in and they all had a really enjoyable day. Thanks to the JPL for organising.”
